BAKED OLD BAY GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings, cut into flats and drumettes
4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 stick butter
10 large garlic cloves, chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a metal cooling rack on top of it. This will allow air to circulate around the wings in the oven and make them crispy all over.
Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and dust them with 3 tablespoons of the Old Bay seasoning. Toss them in the bowl until they are all evenly coated in the seasoning – I find this easiest done with my hands.
Place the wings on the wire rack on the baking sheet evenly spaced. Do not crowd them.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until they are cooked through and juices run clear when pierced with a steak knife. Broil for 1-2 minutes more (6” from the broiler). Watch them closely so they do not burn depending on the strength of your broiler – you just want them to be golden brown and crispy!
While the wings cook, melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the garlic. Cook on low for until very fragrant and the garlic is tender about 5-7 minutes.
When the wings come out of the oven brush the garlic butter all over them and sprinkle with the remaining tablespoon of Old Bay. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
