GORGONZOLA AND CHEDDAR PIGSKIN CHEESE BALL
Ingredients
1 bar cream cheese softened
½ cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
⅓ cup chunky blue cheese dressing
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup scallions, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
½ cup green pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper
6-8 strips lean bacon, cooked crisp
½ cup ranch dressing
Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients except the bacon and ranch dressing in a large bowl. Mix well so all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Form into the shape of a football (cut in half) on a plate and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight (even better!). Remove from the fridge and place on your serving platter. Cut the bacon into 1-2” strips and cover the cheese ball all over, pressing to adhere (using the flatter parts of the strips will look the best). Use the ranch dressing to make the lines and laces on the football. Serve with crackers. TOUCHDOWN!!
